From the President...

For those who are out on the net, I would like to point out that we do not have all of your email addresses. I know you don't want to be bombarded with all sorts of email, but you will find that we don't send out all that much and we hide the list of names using the blind-carbon-copy feature so that it is not visible to other recipients. Please go to the National Trout Unlimited web site and update your member information. If we don't have your email address, we cannot keep you up-to-date on all of the happenings. Sending out hard copy monthly newsletters is far too expensive and time consuming.

We have been graced with many awards this past year: Golden Trout Award for the best chapter of 2006, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Partner Award for our partnership on stream restoration work, and an Iowa County Conservation Award. Makes us look real good. Part of being a real good active chapter is to have good attendance at meetings. In this category, we are failing. The last two membership meetings only had a total of ten attendees. Lots of time and some money go into presenting these meetings. Please put us on your calendar right away for the meetings this winter and spring so we are the first choice and not an afterthought when it comes to your scheduling. Again, if we have your email address we can give you reminders.
